Healing for Eva

Last Thursday, August 2nd, my friend Eva was the passenger involved in a terrible car accident. She was rushed to the hospital and found to have multiple fractures, including her ribs, sternum, pelvis, left wrist and right humerus.  She is unable to walk or feed herself and, needless to say, she is in a lot of pain.  Unfortunately, Eva's line of work does not give her access to health insurance, and she has an extremely limited policy.  She has been in the hospital for a week, and the doctors won't even begin to think about releasing her until she can walk unaided. Once she is released, she will be transferred to an extended care facility where she will receive 24-hour care, with at least a five-person team, until she is able to care for herself. This can take up to eight weeks.  

Eva will need help paying her medical bills, as well as to pay for the nursing home care. She has a teenage son who is being cared for by the father but doesn't have any other family who can help. She is pretty traumatized by the whole situation.
