As some know, my Mom passed away a little over a year ago and it has been an especially rough year for my Dad following her death. He is currently in the St. Vincentius A Paulo Catholic Hospital ICU in Indonesia after throwing up blood and this is the fourth time he’s been to the hospital in the span of one year.
But this time the condition is worse and much more dire. He’s fighting for his life. As soon as he arrived at the hospital the doctors immediately rushed him into emergency surgery where they discovered that his large intestines ruptured which caused a massive infection in his body. The doctors had to actually stop the procedure mid-surgery due to his body being too weak to handle the physical toll the surgery demanded.
The situation is especially difficult because his family, his daughters don’t live close by to him.
My dad's name is Budiman Salim and my sisters are Lia Sandra and Nita Kumalasari. We are all asking for prayers and donations to help pay for the immense medical costs associated with my Dad’s treatment. The surgery alone costs $10,000 USD and combined with all the other charges from the hospital the bill stands at $20,000.
We couldn't just stand by and watch him suffer. The doctors then administered the highest possible dose of adrenaline to see if his body would react but it showed little to no reaction.
He remains in the ICU and has been in a coma for the past few days. He opened his eyes briefly last night. That’s all he can do for now but, I believe God is still working on him! We aren’t sure how long he will hospital for so we are in desperate need of help. Our family incurred a lot of debt when my mom was fighting lung and bone cancer.
