Hayden Connell's Medical Bills

The mountain biking community would love to show Hayden Connell some love during this time of recovery.

On July 23 at Winter Park, Colorado, Hayden was racing enduro at Nationals when he had a severe wreck. Avah, his girlfriend, was the first on the scene and found him unresponsive and bleeding substantially from the head. After an hour of working with paramedics to get him off trail, he got his first ambulance ride to the Winterpark ER. After further evaluation, he was transferred to Denver.

By the night's end, he was adorned with 30 stitches inside his lips, a slinged broken arm, a broken nose, and minor bleeding behind the brain. It is needless to say that he has a concussion too.

He has flown back home to Knoxville, where he is on a chocolate pudding diet and recovering through the hopscotch of ever more doctors appointment. Next up is an arm surgery next week.
