My Adoption Story

I am eternally grateful for the gift of life I was given through adoption.
I was placed in a wonderful family with the most loving parents and sister imaginable.
But ever since I was a kid, I dreamed of the opportunity to one day meet my biological mother. I wanted to say "Thank You" in person. Nearly four years ago, a series of serendipitous events led me to the fulfillment of that dream. On January 20, 2012, we met. What a blessing! I also got to meet the sister that I always had but never knew. Through Traci (my sister) I would now learn of the circumstances that brought me to this world and the tragedy that Ginnie (my biological mom) developed early onset dementia in 2002. This story is heartbreaking. Yet, it is filled with miraculous hope and redemption.
You, my friends and family, have encouraged me to share this story. Finally this summer, I got up the guts to begin the process of documenting it on film with storyteller and filmmaker Tyler Mumm. My dream with this is to raise the funds necessary to finish the project. The goal is to complete it in time for a live premiere of the documentary in January 2016.
