Mailyn C. López Badillo es artista, abogada, maestra de yoga, activista defensora del medioambiente y del bienestar de los niños y niñas. En los pasados dos años se ha dedicado de lleno a la crianza de su hijo; es madre a tiempo completo.
El 19 de septiembre de 2017 fue diagnosticada con cáncer, por tercera vez en los últimos siete años. Esa misma noche recibimos el embate del Huracán María. En la Isla no habían las posibilidades ni garantías de poder realizar los estudios necesarios por lo que tuvo que salir de la Isla a completar todos los estudios necesarios y posterior tratamiento médico urgente en Boston, M.A. donde ha encontrado los primeros rayos de esperanza. En dicha ciudad, en el Massasshusets General Hospital ha dado inicio a varios tratamientos y cuidados no disponibles en Puerto Rico.
Este proceso requiere de recursos económicos extraordinarios: gastos médicos, alojamiento, alimentos, desplazamiento y otros. El camino es difícil pero confiamos en este proceso de sanación y en que juntos, podemos lograrlo. Agradecemos la ayuda de cada uno de ustedes que se transformará en bendiciones del Universo. Mailyn C. Lopez Badillo is an artist, lawyer, yoga teacher and a passionate activist defending our environment and the rights and wellbeing of children. In the last 2 years she has dedicated her time to her son as a fulltime mom.
On the 19th of September, the night that Puerto Rico was hit by hurricane Maria, she was diagnosed with cancer for the third time in the last 7 years. Given the devastation on the island of Puerto Rico after the hurricane there were no access to adequate testing or treatment. Consequently Mailyn had to move urgently to Boston, M.A. where she found the first rays of hope. At the moment she is receiving the treatment and care that she needs that is not available in Puerto Rico.
This unexpected process requires significant financial resources to cover medical expenses, accommodation, food and any incidental expenses. The road Mailyn is traveling is difficult, but we trust in this healing process and that together, we can make it. We thank the support of each of you and we know it will be transformed in blessings from the Universe. We know your support will be reciprocated in abundance. Until the Victory!
