In memory of Elly

Sadly my beautiful niece Elly passed away at her home in Clovelly on Friday 24th of February. She was an extremely vibrant and clever young lady. Most of you would know about her journey and her great struggles throughout her short little life. The entire family and people in her community where greatly devastated by this as you can imagine, she was only nine years old and had so many things left to experience.
In her short time here, her mother Michelle, father Luke and her two brothers Mac and Baye made her life the most enjoyable possible. They were always doting over her and giving her support when she was not well and after her many opperations. This has certainly taken its toll on all of them.
Thanks to the Starlight foundation she was able to go and live her dream of going to the Australia Zoo and see the crocodiles and dance with Bindi. She loved this and since I have lived in the Kimberly region she always asked me "have you seen a big croc yet Shanny". She loved them and it was so great that she got to go see some.
Unfortunately due to her illness and inability to travel overseas the family could never go too far away.
They are in need of an overseas family holiday, they really want to go to Bali and celebrate Elly's life and grieve together. Your donations would be a welcome gift and a great way to help out this wonderful family and help them through this grieving process.
There is no timeline on getting these funds, there is still a lot to do before they can get away, the funeral date is yet to be determined and these funds are soley for their bali holiday.
I have watched this wonderful family stay strong for so long and now that Elly is at peace they can live their lives to the fullest and make her proud of them. It would mean so much to not only them but to the extended family as well. This would not only help them grieve but would also mean the beginning of a fresh start for the Hassett family.
So lets dig deep and help this awesome family get a new beginning in life and make some wonderful memories.
