Hardin Family Support

Dear Friends of Coach Ryan Hardin,

 

We are reaching out to you today for a difficult ask. In times of need, we have been taught to rely on our friends and family, even when it can be hard. That time has come for Coach Hardin and his family, so we are graciously reaching out to all of you for help.

 

As many of you know, Coach Hardin was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Melanoma (which means the cancer has spread throughout his body). This would be Coach Hardin’s second go round with Cancer. Coach Hardin has been in the hospital the past few weeks recovering from complications due to the cancer and his immunotherapy treatment. He is due to have surgery, hopefully November 3rd, to remove blood clots that have developed from his treatments.  But even this surgery has been postponed once now due to complications.   We are praying for a speedy recovery for Coach and look forward to seeing him back on the basketball court before the end of the season.

 

Coach Hardin has been a teacher and a coach for the past 23 years. For those that may be unaware, Coach Hardin has coached both Boys Cross Country and Boys Basketball. He is passionate about his teams and his athletes. He is an outgoing individual who is always checking in on his students and he genuinely lets them know he cares. His athletes/students describe him as – Kind, Attentive to Detail, Nice and just a really Great Coach. He is someone who has invested so much time and energy into our children and so for us, an opportunity like this to help Coach Hardin and his family is an easy task.

 

Coach Hardin, his wife (Kim) and two daughters are so grateful for the prayers and outpouring of support they have received these past few weeks. They thank you in advance for your generosity and kindness is helping support their family through this extremely difficult time. It really takes a village when one of us is struggling and the Hardin Family is so thankful for the village and community that surrounds them.
