In October 2024, while pregnant, I was diagnosed with cervical cancer. It came as a huge shock, as I was up to date with my smear tests and never expected this to happen. I underwent an emergency C-section and radical hysterectomy at 34 weeks, and our baby boy, Joseph, spent some time in NICU.

After his birth, I had chemotherapy, radiotherapy and brachytherapy. Following this, I developed multiple tumours which caused an overwhelming amount of pain. There are parts of 2024 that I don’t remember, as the pain and the medication were simply too much on the lead up to my total pelvic exenteration. This was one of the hardest periods for my family, watching me suffer and feeling helpless, unable to take the pain away. The surgery took it's toll as I was in ICU for 9 weeks unable to see my children.

Unfortunately the bad news didn't stop there. Before I even left hospital I was told the cancer had spread to my liver. Despite major surgery and every possible treatment, it is no longer responding. I am now receiving end of life care, focused on keeping me comfortable.

I have created this Gofundme to help my family after my passing, the funds will go towards my funeral costs and if there is anything left, childcare costs for our 3 young children so my husband can stay in work. I don't expect much but if I can help in any way to make life that little easier when I'm gone I will be happy. Thank you for hearing my story.
