My name is Ashlee, and I am starting this fundraiser for my sister-in-law, Haley Boynton. Haley is not only my brother’s wife but also an incredible mother to three beautiful children: Charley, Reese, and Rigden.
Haley is currently fighting stage 4 metaplastic breast cancer, one of the rarest and hardest forms of cancer to treat. On top of that, she was also diagnosed with another form called inflammatory breast cancer (IBC). This aggressive combination has made her journey unimaginably difficult — you can even see the tumors on her body.
After exhausting options locally, Haley found hope with a doctor in San Diego who believes in her and is trying everything possible to give her a fighting chance. This means she must travel there three times a month for treatment. It hasn’t been easy — physically, emotionally, or financially — but this truly feels like her best shot.
Since April, Haley has endured five different types of chemotherapy, and she is now on two more. Through all of this, she continues to fight with courage and grace for her kids and family. Recently, there has even been some hope: the tumors on her skin are starting to respond to this new treatment.
To make things harder, Haley was suddenly let go from her job, leaving the family to survive on one income while facing mounting medical and travel expenses.
Her kids are trying to understand as best they can — calling her treatments “mommy’s magical medicine” — but it breaks my heart that they have to watch their mom go through this.
We are asking for support to help ease the financial burden of medical bills, travel costs, and living expenses so Haley can focus on what matters most: healing and being with her children.
Haley is a fighter, and she deserves every chance at more time with her family. If you are able to contribute, please know that every donation, no matter the size, will make a difference. And if you cannot give financially, sharing this fundraiser means the world to us.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for supporting Haley and our family during this incredibly difficult time.
