Post Surgery 10K For Sarcoma
Donation protected
As many of you know, I have been battling a very rare form of Cancer called Sarcoma. I have completed radiation and on April 2nd, I will undergo surgery to remove the tumor. It is located in my abdomen between by bowels, liver and colon. They will be removing my tumor as well as a portion of my colon and possibly the nerves that service my right leg. It will be an extensive operation. I may very well have to go through physical therapy but I am determined to fight and heal quickly and use this experience to help and inspire others who have to suffer from this terrible disease.
I have never done a 10K and to help raise funds towards research with hopes and prayers that one day we will have a cure for this awful disease, and to show this cancer that it can't keep me down, I will be walking a 10K race after my surgery to remove my tumor. I would like to donate funds to help with Sarcoma research. Since it is such a rare cancer, less that 1% of funds to study /fight cancer goes to Sarcoma research and I felt the frustration of this firsthand with very few doctors having heard of my cancer let alone knowing how it reacts to treatments. I don't want others to have to deal with the uncertainty that I had to deal with. Please help show your support for me and sarcoma research with a donation. No amount is too small and every dollar is truly appreciated.
Thanks in advance for your generosity and I hope to see you out there cheering for me on race day. (for those of you who don't know...it's on July 4th and my goal is $7400 in honor of July 4th....also July 2nd is my Birthday and a donation would be a lovely birthday gift! I don't need stuff...I just need people to be able to enjoy more birthdays.)
