My amazing mother, Cara, has esophageal cancer. She is taking oral chemo medication to help get rid of tumors that are keeping her from living a healthy happy life. The chemo has taken a toll on her daily life. She has little to no appetite, losing weight rapidly, losing her hair, and has very little energy to do the things she normally is able to do. She's always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. She would give every dime she had in her pocket to help someone, and has done so more times than I can count. Now it's our turn to help her. I want to raise this money for her, so that she can spend these next few months of treatment focusing on her health and nothing else. While I know she would give anything to continue her passions of running marathons, biking 100 miles, and running her photography business; she is going to have to take a break from these for now.
