Guatemala Mission Trip for Matthew

Dear friends and family,
July 23-31 I will be going on a mission trip to Guatemala. I'm so excited to go and to be traveling with a ministry called 1:8T Mission, this group is part of the the church that I attend at The Cause Community Church in Brea, Ca. I became a baptized Christian just a little over a year ago and I feel that this trip is a calling from our heavenly Father for me to experience something that will have a lasting impact on my life. Recently, I told my parents that I feel God wants me to live a life of service helping others and this trip provides me a perfect opportunity to do just that.
My mission group, 1:8T Mission, is a youth Christian group that wants to impact people's lives by sharing the Gospel with them with the intent that they may learn about the love of Jesus Christ. Being able to share the word of God with others is something I can not wait to do this summer in Guatemala.
Guatemala is located in Central America. I along with twenty other teens from my church will be staying at the Hope of Life center which is an organization in Guatemala that allows churches to come and minister to the people of Guatemala. During my time there (July 23rd-July 31st) I will be directly involved in helping the Guatemalan people in various ways such as volunteering at the local hospital and orphanage; ministering at a village nearby, and helping out with water baptisms. I'll also be responsible for carrying out some custodial duties, too. This trip will be a challenge for me since this is the first time, I've ever done an act of service like this in a foreign country. However, I feel like God has called me to go and help the people of Guatemala and share the Gospel with them. I pray that I impact as many lives as I can when I am there.
As for now I am working hard to raise funds for this big summer trip. The total cost of the trip is $1,800, which includes all expenses: airfare, accommodations, food and training. This trip is not cheap, but I believe the Lord will provide a way for me to go and spread his word. I've already convinced my parents to help me out, but I'll still need support from friends and family to reach my funding goal.
My first payment deadline is May 27th, where I will need to pay at least $900, and July 15th is the final deadline where $1800 is due. Any amount you can give would be such a blessing to me and would help me reach my goal. I completely understand if now is not a good time for you to give, in that case, I would appreciate any prayers or well wishes. Also, if there's any act of service I can do for you, don't hesitate to ask.
