My name is Abiy Atomssa. I live in New York, US.
I am raising money for prisoners and families of deceased prisoners living in Ethiopia. Their name is listed below. Four of them have passed away while in prison because of torture and ill treatment. They are all prisoners of conscience and human rights activists.
There are many thousands of such prisoners in Ethiopia from the single largest ethnic group called Oromo. It's estimated that about 90% of the prisoners in the country are from this ethnic group/nation. I am from this nation. This nation is under relentless repression by the government, as confirmed by the latest 166 pages report of Amnesty International. The fund I am raising will be sent by Western Union to the families of both the deceased and alive prisoners, so that they will use it and be comforted.

3. Alsan Hussen - university student (Passed away while in prison),
4. Wabe Haji Jarso,
5. Taye Danda’a Arado,
6. Ahmed Nejash (Passed away while in prison) and
7. Nimona Tilahun (Passed away while in prison).
