Emergency Legal Fund

Hi all! At various women's health clinics across the US, protesters harass and intimidate women seeking abortion care. At a clinic here in Charlotte, NC, the ProChoice Charlotte group organizes volunteers to act as clinic defenders, who help direct patients into the clinic, provide emotional support, and create privacy barriers for patients by lining the sidewalks themselves. 

As you can imagine, situations between clinic defenders and protesters can become tense. Earlier in February, a regular protester verbally threatened a clinic defense volunteer with physical harm. This volunteer has pressed charges and is seeking a restraining order to ensure her safety. This fund is seeking to raise funds for this volunteer's legal needs while she tries to secure her safety.
