On the morning of January 23rd, our cousin, nephew and friend, Griffen Ives, was victim to the worst attack in Benton history.
Griffen was shot in the chest, one of several Marshall County High School students who were caught in gunfire that morning.
He was rushed to Marshall County Hospital and then airlifted to Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville. After a scary 48 hours and two surgeries, Griffen is recovering. We are so thankful for the medical teams and surgeons at both hospitals.
We, as family and friends of the Ives, have set up this page to assist Griffen in his recovery.
He will have a long road ahead and we want to alleviate some of the medical costs the Ives family will incur. We know how hard Kurt and Stephanie work for their boys and they would never ask for help. When friends, students and family members started asking about a GoFundMe for him, we knew what we had to do.
