Accidents happen, and in this case, my daughter was at home when she looked up and saw something coming toward her. By that time, the crash had already happened.

An elderly woman who was using our driveway to turn around accidentally pressed the gas pedal instead of the brake and crashed through the front of our house.

We like to rearrange our furniture from time to time, and the room she crashed into happened to be the room where my grandbabies usually watch TV. They have their own living room/playroom, and thankfully, they were not there when the crash occurred.

At this time, we are unable to use the front portion of our home because the structure has been deemed unsafe and could potentially collapse.

We have been incredibly blessed. No one was injured, my grandbabies are safe, and the couch was no longer positioned against the wall where it had once been. We are deeply grateful that everyone made it through this frightening accident unharmed.
