Graduation for FGLI Harvard Student!

hi! I'm lucy, a senior at Harvard graduating in May. I'm a first-generation, low-income college student, and I am homeless. I'm trying to bring my family out to visit Harvard from Michigan for my graduation this May, but we need some help raising the funds!

my older sister graduated from the University of Michigan last year and was the first in our family to go to college. I’m the first to go to college out of state. since high school, I’ve worked multiple jobs to support myself, and help out back home, which the current pandemic has further complicated.

I have six siblings, and three younger cousins, who I’d love to be able to show around the area, since they haven't been able to come out since I got here in 2018. I'm doing everything I can to get them here, but it hasn't been easy. with my school's help, we've been able to cover the $2,000 cost of the hotel. however, we still have a lot of expenses to consider (namely flights and food costs when they get here).

fundraising for this is ultimately a WANT and not a NEED, and either way I will do whatever I can to get them here, so truly anything helps. as a first-generation student, it would mean the world to me for my family to be here for my graduation. additionally, I'd be able to show my siblings in person what is within their reach as well.
