Mission Trip to Africa

I am Jeff Thorman, Minister of Education/Principal at Zion Lutheran School.  My daughter Jessica is a Physical Therapy Gradute student at Hardin Simmons University.   
This will be my first experience going overseas on a mission trip.  I have always served in the United States.  I feel a great deal of excitement about this trip, and know that God is fully in control.  Jessica has been to Uganda, and fell in love with the people.  She thinks that she may want to serve long term in the future.  Romans chapter 12 talks about the gifts God have given each of us; Helping others through the Gifts of service, teaching, encouraging, leadership, and contributing to the needs of others.  We are looking forward to using these gifts on our trip to Uganda.  I will be clearing 5 acres of land for school activities/playground, and assisting in building repairs.  I will also be learning about their curriculum and teacher training.  Jessica will assist with basic medical needs as well as Bible activities.  I will probably have her work with me on clearing land as well. 
We are trying to raise the funds rather quickly.  Our trip is in December.  We are looking to raise the funds needed for travel and supplies by November 16th.
