Whalers Freezbrury Challenge for PMV Trust
The Gollymocky Whalers are a group who swim in the seas of the 40 Foot in Sandycove on a daily basis all year round. The Freezbrury challenge raises the bar by adding a minute each day to our time in the coldest waters of the year. So, on the 10th it's 10 minutes, on the 11th it's 11 minutes, and so on until we get to 28 minutes on the 28th. Some will provide 'peloton' paddling support while the swim leaders push for the 28th 'summit' but ALL will be in the waters each day for a minimum 10 minutes. That's our challenge but our country faces a far more critical challenge in providing homes for all, and not just for those born on this island. These cold windy February days should remind us all that shelter is the most basic of human rights and that you can make a difference by giving to a fantastic charity committed to reducing homelessness. We are raising money in aid of Peter McVerry Trust and every donation will help. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause.
