On Tuesday, August 4th, Tropical Storm Isaias paid a VERY unwelcome visit to many of us along the east coast leaving a path of destruction that will take considerable time, effort and funds for those affected to recover from. Unfortunately, a long-time, key member of our racing family, Tom Goldman from Allentown, PA was one of those hit the hardest. His shop area was totally inundated by over 4 feet of water in a flash flood when the front wall of the building housing his workspace could no longer hold back the pressure of the swollen stream running out of control close by.
Many of Tom’s tools, supplies, parts, and equipment including both his TIG and MIG welders, Lathe and other important tools essential for him to earn his living were either damaged or completely ruined.
Those who know Tom will all agree that he has always been there to lend a hand to ANYONE who has needed his help, advice or expertise whenever called upon. In light of Tuesday’s tragedy, this page has been set up to help him get through this terrible turn of events. This
disaster will undoubtedly put an incredible financial burden on Tom and Kathy both. They have always been there to help many of us time and time again. I encourage people to step up in this time of need and generously help Tom with his recovery from this disastrous situation.
