Oneida Athletic Hall of Fame

We are now heading into our fifth year and we continue to make tremendous progress in the development of the Oneida Athletic Hall of Fame.  Two classes of Hall of Famers have now been recognized, with a third class being inducted in 2021. Thirty Seven Inductees, including twenty one athletes, nine coaches, and six teams , have been honored on our fall Homecoming/Hall of Fame weekends. Six Hall of Fame College Scholarship Awards have been given out to deserving OHS Seniors totaling $3,000.

The Hall of Fame Kiosk has been placed in the hall way by the Fariel Gymnasium at OHS, and is now the permanent home for all inductees, their stories, records, and the many videos/pictures that have been provided.

Founding members of the OHS Almuni were Ed Meacham, Peter DuChene, Christine Conte, and Mark Ponte. The current Hall of Fame Alumni Fundraising Committee consists of Peter DuChene (OHS 74),  JohnElberson (OHS 90),  and Richard Rossetti (OHS 74).  The current Hall of Fame Selection Committee consists of Hall of Famer Mike Donegan (OHS 68), Christine Conte (OHS 74), Tom Spadafora (OHS 64), OHS Coaches John Markle and Kristin Hicks, and Hall of Famer Kristin Sterling Myatt. IT help from Brian Hinman (OHS 74).

The mission of the Oneida Athletic Hall of Fame is to recognize the accomplishments of the inductees, fund college scholarships, and develop pride in the rich athletic traditions of our school. These role models exemplify Oneida’s commitment to academics , community , and athletic excellence.

So please help us continue to raise the funds necessary to support our college scholarships , as well as the great athletic traditions at OHS !  Thanks for your consideration and assistance !!
