GoFund Grace

Grace is a brave 12-year-old girl with down syndrome. Grace's mobility has been severely limited, making it extremely difficult for her to walk. Currently, she finds herself confined to the living room of her home, unable to navigate the stairs to her bedroom. Grace is to eat, sleep and play in the living room where the rest of her family also spend time, leaving Grace with no privacy or her own space. This situation is not only physically challenging but also emotionally distressing for Grace and her family.

Grace's family are doing everything they can to make their living situation work, but they need help as they are unable to obtain a grant from the Government in a timely manner to help fund this and give Grace a somewhat normal life.

We are running the Hatters Half Marathon in Stockport on Sunday 3rd September 2023 to try raise as much money as possible so that Grace’s family are able to buy a specialised wheelchair so that she can do the basics every 12 year old child should be able to do. Any extra donations raised will go to making the house disability friendly to make things more accessible for Grace as she enters her teenage years and adulthood.
