Do you want to make a difference in the world? You have reached the right place. Join us in making these children in Uganda have a decent night's sleep so they can focus a little in class. We are raising money to benefit Give Them A Chance To Inc, and any donation to buy mattresses, bedsheets, pillows, and beds, will help make an impact. Our story is not spectacular but it is far from being uninteresting either.
Give them a chance to. Inc has been supporting fiscally challenged households in central Uganda for over five years. What started as a small project to simply support these resilient children with educational supplies in a used backpack, has now morphed into something larger. Having seen the underlying causes of the challenges these children face, we decided to do more. That is why today, we are giving not only backpacks filled with school supplies; we are also collecting and giving out seemingly inconsequential, yet life changing items like soap, sugar, baby sheets, blankets, and girls sanitary supplies. It is hard to keep up but out of sheer grit, we are doing exactly that. We are just trying to give these kids a chance to be children. Our aim is to allow these children a chance to sleep adequately so they can settle in class. Trust us, we have tried so hard not to get pulled into this. We know the folly of giving and giving without any end in sight. We know how to avoid that, and that is why our next phase is to help households become self-sustaining. But that is a different conversation altogether. For now, please let us give these kids a chance to sleep well, at least on Christmas. There is so many things these kids need. Let them not worry about sleeping. Join us in putting covers on them.
