Give Chris a Chance at Proper Mental Healthcare

One of the hardest things in life to deal with for families is mental illness. Hospitals are a place to be safe, but not a place for help or solutions.

Insurance covers the bare minimum and mental healthcare is one of the most underfunded medical conditions in the world.

Mental illness is also one of the most feared diseases and sadly, most people are undereducated and misinformed about this horrific disease.

We couldn't find a facility that can help in the entire state of NC, and to find the treatment that could help and the amount of money it would cost my family would leave us all homeless and bankrupt. Only the very wealthy could have the privilege of getting into one of these facilities. Getting medical help should not be only for the privileged and their families.

Chris was diagnosed with Treatment Resistant Rapid Cycling Bi-polar One. It is the rarest type of bi-polar in the world. Only 1% of Bi-polar patients suffer with this disease.

Most doctors we have seen either mistreat or give up treatment because they realize they don't have the expertise and don't want to risk mistreating, leaving us to deal with the fallout... Death or institutionalizing him.

Chris is a super intelligent and talented musician with two amazing, loving adult sons who love him very much.

We need help getting Chris into the right treatment and the ability to pay the exorbitant bill.
