GirlUp-Waukegan

Girls are powerful.
When they’re educated, healthy, and safe, they are able to use their resilience to transform their communities. When girls encourage and stand up for others in need, they empower each other and transform our world. Girl Up engages girls to take action. We are advocates raising awareness and funds, to help the hardest to reach girls living in places where it is hardest to be a girl.

Girl Up is a campaign sponsored by the United Nations Foundations that aims to connect girls around the world.

Girl Up helps girls through five main focus areas: education, safety, health, leadership, and being counted and recognized withing their governments.

We want to raise money in support of this cause, and for our club here at Waukegan High School! Our members are a diverse and committed group students. Your donation will help fund materials for future events, such as bake sales, student-led events, and field trips; marketing such as fliers, social media sites and club t-shirt and much more!
