Girls High School Wrestling Singlets

Donation protected
Portland's David Douglas High School Girl's Wrestling Team is fundraising to replace 2 sets of wrestling singlets. Last March when schools shut down due to the Covid-19 pandemic two sets of wrestling singlets were stolen from a staff vehicle. We learned the hard way that insurance does not cover items stolen from inside the car, and have since then purchased renter's insurance to avoid another heart breaking incident. These singlets have no street value but are invaluable to these High School girls, as they are required equipment to compete in and are specifically designed to fit girls' bodies.  Any money raised past the amount to cover the replacement singlets will be spent directly on warm-ups and wrestling gear for those who cannot afford to buy their own.

Girls wrestling is one of the fastest growing sports in the US and gives girls the confidence, discipline, and drive to succeed in academics and in life. Lack of equipment should not be a reason to inhibit a girl from participating in this empowering sport, and your contribution can directly impact their ability to experience this life changing sport.

Thank you so much for your support and sharing this with others who may also be able to support the DDHS Girls Wrestling Team.
