Ginnye Schnepp
Donation protected
We are asking for your help in donating funds for Ginnye Schnepp, a 56-year-old newlywed, recently diagnosed with amyloidosis. Funds are needed immediately and will go toward the cost of accruing medical bills, chemotherapy and stem cell reinfusion. Ginnye is unable to work and your assistance is needed.
Amyloidosis is a rare systemic disease caused by deposits of amyloid proteins in one or more organs, causing organ malfunction and failure. The only treatment for this type of amyloid disease involves stem cell transplant after a dose of IV melphalan (chemotherapy) to kill off all the cells in the bone marrow and re-infusion of the stem cells into the blood stream. Treatment is geared to the extension of life, reversal of organ damage and improved quality of life. Chemotherapy and stem cell quarantine is 4 weeks with recovery taking an additional 2 to 3 months.
Your generosity in helping us raise money to help defer the medical burden is deeply appreciated.
