Together we are STRONG -- Gil Moen

Have you ever been in the position in life where you just wanted to take the hurt away from someone you love? That is where I am today. I know it is not the first time for me and probably not the first for you, but I have been trying to think of a way to help this sweet family that I love dearly!

This is my brother-in-law, Gil. My husband’s big brother and best friend. You can’t help but smile when you are around Gil and be in full belly laugh. His humor is contagious and I love the way his whole face and eyes light up when he talks with you.

Gil is my husband’s big brother. I am sure many of you have that big brother in your life, the one you go to for advice, the one you go to for help, the one you go to when things are tough and you just need someone to listen. Gil is that type of older brother. Not only is he the big brother to my husband, but several siblings and neighbors and friends as well.

I can easily say Gil is well loved by many! He is especially adored by his sweet daughters, son and wife. He is your typical good guy, family man. The kind of guy that will do anything for anyone in need. The kind of guy that tries to make life a little simpler and sweeter for others. And that is exactly what I would like to do for him and his sweet wife, Melissa, at this time.

Gil was recently diagnosed with Stage IV Pancreatic Cancer.

This is a hard diagnosis to receive for a father of such a young family. Gil is a passionate, hardworking husband and father. He has already begun the fight and has undergone several rounds of chemo-therapy. I am asking for your help to raise funds to help with medical costs associated with cancer treatments and family expenses. Any contribution you can make during this difficult time will be greatly appreciated to help ease their financial burdens. Gil’s wife, Melissa, is a light and a rock to so many. She has been there for me during so many points in my life. I am just hoping that we can be a small little bit of light in her life at this time as she cares for Gil. This family has inspired and uplifted so many lives.
