Gig Harbor Women's Co-op Community Picnic

We are planning a community picnic for our membership and their families on Sept 14 to commemorate the 1 year anniversary of our organization.

The co-op will be providing the paid location space and protein for the event. The costs are are estimated to be over $800 which includes the rental space, bugers, dogs, and grilling supplies. Membership will be donating the sides, condiments, decorations, eating utensils, tents, chairs, tables, and labor for the event.

Our 501(c)(3) charitable non-profit is 100% supported by volunteers and private donations. We would appreciate your help offset a portion of the costs for this community picnic event.

GHWC supports our community through volunteer work, meal trains, babysitting, household work, and more. We donate our Time Bank hours to provide service for women and children in need a variety of ways.

We have lost count of the many women who have shared how our co-op has positively transformed their lives. By focusing on women, we are aiming to reclaim the value of labor and skills that are currently going unrewarded. The mental health benefits alone are worth it, but from an economic standpoint the human capital that can be utilized for good cause is massive. We are proud to welcome women of all ages and backgrounds, including those with mental and physical challenges, who actively contribute to our operations every day.
