Barksdale House Fire

This account was created for the Barksdale family who's home was lost in a house fire the night of April 4th, 2016.
They are not quite sure what caused the fire yet, but it's clear that nothing can be salvaged. Thankfully, everyone (4 children and 2 parents) made it out safely. We understand, at this point, that their two family dogs also made it out safely, but are still unsure about their cats.
We are raising money to help them start over. It's our understanding that they do NOT have insurance to cover any of their losses and will need to literally start from scratch. So, we wanted to pull together as friends, family and a community to help out this family. Anything you can donate will go a long way!!
We've listed the family's clothes sizes, if you wish to buy clothes or gift cards and mail them rather than donating through this account just let us know. We will be sure they get everything gifted to them.

We are hoping to reach $20,000 over the next 2 weeks and we will update this page as we learn more about their situation and what their financial needs are. Carrie (mother) will have full access to this account as soon as donations begin to be recieved.
We are confident ANY contirubution will be greatly appreciated. We cannot fathom the confusion and saddness the children are experiencing right now watching their childhood home and it's contents burn to the ground. When we spoke to Carrie this morning she was just heartbroken. Hunter (~10 yo boy) just had a birthday and he told her that he lost all his new toys. Even though they are thankful to be alive he doesn't yet understand the situation.
They live in a very small town in north eastern AL (Fyffe, AL). We are thankful that the property they live on was large enough that the fire didn't spread to our Nanny's home nor to the other family members that also live within stricking distance of the Barksdale's home.
Please pray for this family and the journey they are about to embark upon as they rebuild their life after a fire. It would be so helpful if you could spread the word so we can help them reach this goal sooner rather than later!! Thank you!!
