My name is Khaled Abusamra, a student in Turkey, and I am asking for your help to save my family trapped in Gaza. My father, mother, and young brother have been displaced three times since this genocide began. Their home, their safety, and their hope have been stolen from them.
They lived in the north of Gaza—a place that has now been wiped off the map. When the bombs forced them to flee, they left with nothing, running for their lives to an unfinished house we were building before the war. But nowhere is safe. The Israeli army reached their area, and they had to run again, carrying whatever they could, walking for miles under fire until they found shelter with my mother’s relatives.
For two years, they endured hell. The north of Gaza was bombed day and night. But worse than the bombs was the starvation. Food disappeared. My family ate scraps when they could find any, their bodies weakening with each passing day. They stayed because the road to the south was a death trap—people were shot trying to escape. So they suffered in silence, praying for mercy.
When summer came, they moved to my aunt’s house, desperate for any refuge. But two days later, the bombs found them again. The building was struck—one explosion below them, another above. They barely escaped alive, bleeding and terrified, but they had no choice but to return. There is nowhere else to go. Now, they live in the ruins of a bombed building, surrounded by rubble and death.
Every day is a fight to survive. If they find food in the market, it costs a fortune—my family can’t afford it. They are starving, exhausted, and trapped with no way out. The world has abandoned them, but I refuse to let them die.
Your support is their lifeline. Right now, my family is clinging to survival—day after day of hunger, terror, and loss. They have endured the unimaginable, but their strength is running out. Without help, they will remain trapped in this endless horror: another night of bombs, another day without food, another unbearable goodbye to neighbors, friends, and the life they once knew.
But there is still hope. With your help, they can escape this hell. Your generosity can give them the chance to breathe again, to find safety, to finally live instead of just surviving. Every donation, no matter how small, is a step toward their freedom—a light in the darkness that says, You are not forgotten.
Please, help me save my family. Your kindness will give them a chance to escape, to heal, to live. They have lost everything except their will to survive. Don’t let them lose that too.
