I’ve been invited to join a small group of riders cycling from Stoke to London this July.
At over 300 km (200 miles) over 3 days, it will be one of the longest rides I’ve ever done, and I’ll be raising funds for my local raptor rescue and animal sanctuary.
Gentleshaw takes in injured birds of prey, ensures they receive proper treatment, and releases them back into the wild whenever possible.
Sadly, not every animal is so lucky. Those that have been mistreated or are too injured to be released are given a permanent, loving home at Gentleshaw.
From birds once kept in cupboards, to lemurs used in scientific experiments and discarded, to tame birds released into the wild without the skills to survive—Gentleshaw not only cares for them but also shares the stories of each unique resident.
This small charity is very close to my animal-loving heart.
Would you like to join me in making a difference? I’m raising money in aid of Gentleshaw Bird of Prey Wildlife Hospital, and every donation will help.
Thank you in advance for your contribution to a cause that means so much to me.
