Hello friends, family, and community,

We are loved ones of the Duran Family and we are launching this GoFundMe to help them during this very challenging time, as both our aunt Genny and our 19 y/o cousin Cassidy are battling cancer.

Genny began her fight against breast cancer in June two weeks before her birthday. During the same time, Cassidy was admitted to the hospital unexpectedly for a severe migraine and was diagnosed with a rare form of brain cancer, Medulloblastoma. She needed an emergency brain surgery to remove the large tumor, which was located in the most dangerous area of the brain along the cerebral area. With that, Genny and Cassidy both had surgery to remove the malignant tumors only 1 day apart.

Cassidy was in the hospital for 3 weeks, in the Intensive Care Unit for several days due to her critical condition, and unfortunately Cassidy landed back in the hospital with a severe infection. Cassidy has now undergone 2 brain surgeries and will begin radiation/ chemotherapy this upcoming week. Cassidy is currently still hospitalized because of the infection.

Both Genny and Cassidy will begin radiation therapy for 5 days a week, every week for well over a month, at 2 different hospitals. They will have to travel a long distance every day, far from home and from one another. Our uncle Saul is the sole provider for this family and with both his girls battling cancer, he has been unable to work.

We are praying that whoever this reaches, is able to join us to help the Duran Family in any way. Whatever is in your heart to donate, we are truly grateful. We appreciate all the love, support, and prayers we have received thus far.
