My Dad's Funeral Expenses

A few days ago my dad, Gene Wright, passed away unexpectedly in his home in Albuquerque. He was incredibly funny, loved music and playing the drums, and always told me how proud of me he was and how much he loved me. I'm his only child and next of kin so it's mostly up to me to set up and pay for his funeral arrangements. Unfortunately, even the most basic cremation is over $1000 and I wasn't prepared at all to take on this expense. If you can contribute even $5 it would be a great help to me and the rest of my immediate family. I will be putting all donations towards the funeral home costs, which I will have to have covered by this Thursday, September 28th. Thank you for your help during this difficult time. 

Update: My original estimate for the funeral costs it turns out was much lower than what I will actually need to pay for everything. This new amount would help cover the additional fees from the medical investigator's office, an urn for my father's remains, a small reception after the cremation, and some of my flight expenses. I'm so incredibly grateful for all of your donations, it has made this whole process a lot easier to deal with. Thank you all again so very much!
