Gayle Kirkendall Memorial: Books for Students 2019

On May 10th 2019, we lost the most selflessly kind, intelligent, strong, and fiercely  passionate Teacher, Mother, and friend to her years long battle with triple negative Breast Cancer.

This page is to honor her wishes before passing, which were to help make it possible for more kids to take books home. That in doing would so it would foster an early love for reading in young students to create the building blocks for a successful future.

Gayle not only loved her students, but the teachers she worked with and her family. Teachers all across the country have to foot the bill for all of their supplies in the classroom, which she was very familiar with doing over her 15 year teaching career.

The distribution of funds from this page will go to her fellow teachers at various schools across California and Arizona, and the students whose lives she has touched. Funds will be for the classrooms so new students that didn't know her have a chance to take more books home as well.
