Love for Lexi
On August 3rd Lexi, age 12, was diagnosed with a brain tumor at Concord Hospital. She spent the next 12 days at Dartmouth Children's Hospital where she underwent an intense surgery to remove the brain tumor. On August 15th Lexi was able to return home with the diagnosis of Ependymoma (anapalastic). Lexi is thriving and doing well focusing on recovering from the invasive proceedure. She continues to maintain great spirits and the laugh we all love so much.
Once recovered from the recent surgery Lexi will be going to Boston to undergo Radiation treatment with the intent of stopping the progression of the cancer.
Lexi resides with her single mother and big brother Corbin. Lexi's mother Andrea Myers has been by her bedside from the moment of diaganosis, resulting in a leave from her place of employment. We are hopeful that donations will be able to assist her mother, Andrea, in paying her rent, utilities and other expenses that are sure to add up quickly given the tremendous amount of travel that will be daily for weeks.and the amount of time off that will be required to get Lexi well. As beneficiary of the Gofund Me Andrea Myers will be able to focus on her daughters recovery and worry less about how to make ends meet while Lexi undergoes 6 weeks of radiation in Boston this fall.
Thank you for helping us show Love for Lexi.
