This is John from Kansas' story…

"My name is Delanie Miller, and my family needs help. On October 22nd, my dad was in a serious accident while preparing for deer season. He fell 25 feet and suffered severe injuries. His left wrist and ankle were shattered, and his right knee was completely broken.

He has already had three surgeries, with more likely ahead. Right now, he cannot put any weight on his legs or his wrist for at least 10 weeks. Just one week later, my mom was in a car accident on her way to visit him. Her car was totaled, adding even more stress to an already difficult situation.

The medical bills are overwhelming, and my dad is unable to work. He was also discharged early from rehab because insurance stopped covering his stay. He was given only one hour to leave, even though he still needs full support and our home is not equipped for his condition.

If you know my dad, you know he is always the first to help others. As a United States Army Veteran, he has spent his life showing up for people. He is a loving father and an incredible grandfather who means everything to our family.

These past weeks have been incredibly hard. We want him to focus on healing without worrying about losing our home. Any support, whether through giving or sharing, would mean so much to our family."
