Friends and Family of Matthew Lyons,

As many of you may have heard, Matthew died suddenly and unexpectedly on Wednesday night. Matthew was a terrific athlete, a sweet, loving brother, and he had the biggest smile and kindest heart. Matthew was both loved and loving.

Matthew's death is devastating. Our hearts are broken for Matthew and those who loved him dearly. With his passing, the unexpected costs that Tom and Terri must bear are an extra layer of burden for them. 

In Acts 2, we read that the newly formed community of Christ-followers "sold their possessions and property and distributed the proceeds to all, as any had need." Following in the spirit of love that the early Church modelled, we ask that you consider helping Tom and Terri in this time of need.

Organizing this request for help is the Melody family. We have known the Lyons and have worshipped at various churches alongside one another for years. We consider each other to be dear friends. Our children grew up together, played together, laughed together, and got in trouble together. We have been blessed by the loving fellowship of the Lyons.

With the permission of Tom and Terri, we are organizing this campaign to ask your financial help. All of the money collected will go to Tom and Terri to assist in the expenses they now must bear.  These costs include to unmet funeral costs, burial costs, etc.
