Funds for our wonderful Evri driver, Aggie

* Update:

Hi everyone. I just wanted to give you all an update from Aggie as I’ve been speaking to her today and she’d like me to share a message with you wonderful people:

“I can't thank you enough for what you and the community did for me. I am deeply touched by your emotional support, kind words, good wishes, and generosity. I am honestly overwhelmed by how much you all raised for me. Everything you all do for me is so amazing and supportive. I'm very grateful and incredibly touched by all the wonderful things people do for me. I feel so supported and loved.

Physically it's not bad and each day it gets better. I don't have any serious injuries, just wounds, scratches, and some swelling with bruises. Mentally, I feel very good, mainly thanks to the support I'm getting from the community and my family. I think that we'll see each other soon ”

Thanks again so much to everyone who has donated, left gifts at the pub or shop, and taken the time to sign the book. I’m absolutely blown away with the incredible community spirit and show of love for such a deserving lady. I will be closing the fundraiser on Friday and will be sending the funds directly to Aggie after that. Claire and Darren from The Heart in Hand, Maggie from the shop and myself will also be giving her the gifts and book and we will do an update afterwards. Thanks again ❤️

As I’m sure many of you now know, Aggie, our amazing Evri driver in Blunsdon and Highworth has been injured in a horrific incident in Blunsdon today. Aggie is well known in the villages and is always happy to help everyone. She’s not just a delivery driver but goes above and beyond, taking time to talk to her customers and is a genuine ray of sunshine.

Due to the extent of her reported injuries, it’s very likely that she will be unable to work for some time, and as a show of our gratitude, I would like to raise some funds for her to at least relieve some of the financial pressure that this will put her under. We hope that in doing so that she’ll know how appreciated and loved she is and that it will help her toward a speedy recovery.
