Hi, my name is Robyn Northam, and I am fundraising on behalf of my sister Tamara to give back to the extraordinary charities, organisations, and people who are carrying her and her family through the most devastating tragedy of our lives.
On the 28th of August 2025, Tamara went into labour at full term with her firstborn daughter - a day that should have been overflowing with joy, hope, and excitement for the future. But instead, our world shattered. Little Frankie-Joan’s heart stopped beating only hours before she could take her first breath. In the quiet of the early morning on the 29th, Tamara bravely brought her into the world. Frankie-Joan was perfect - a sleeping beauty, forever etched in our hearts. To give birth knowing you’ll never hear your baby’s cry is an unimaginable pain that no mother should ever have to endure.
Through heartbreak, there was one small mercy: Tamara, her fiancé Jan-William and their 7 year old son were gifted a precious week to hold their daughter, create memories, and grieve their baby girl. This was only possible because of the compassion and support of Hummingbird House at Wesley Mission in Brisbane. They were given the gift of timeless photographs through the generosity of Heartfelt, and they were touched in countless other ways by organisations and people who made a difference when it is meaning the most.
Now, in honour of Frankie-Joan, Tamara and Jan-William want to give back. They wish to support these incredible charities, honour the midwives who stand by them with unwavering love, and extend gratitude to those who are walking beside them in their darkest hours. And we as their village want to help ease the burden of the unexpected costs, and to give them a chance to get keepsakes that will help them keep their daughter close.
We invite you to join us in honouring Frankie-Joan’s short but meaningful life. Whether it’s a little or a lot, every single donation helps another grieving family feel less alone, more supported, and more held in love.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for reading, for giving, and for helping us honour Frankie-Joan.
With love,
From our family to yours.
