We are all struggling in the bar Industry right now with the mandatory COVID-19 Chicago bar shutdowns. These shut downs have not put any safeguards in place for Industry workers who do not have any money coming in. Most of us can’t apply for unemployment and the Bartenders guild fund site is crashing.

We are asking if you are a fan or friend of the Flat Iron and our staff please help out. We are a staff of 18 plus people and most of us depend solely on The Flat for our income. AND Y’all know we have been there for lots of folks to the wee hours of the night slinging away, listening to your stories and making sure you get home safe.
 
No amount is too small. We realize a lot of us are out of work, so only help-out if you can or you’re in a position to give. 

In addition, please consider not only giving to our fund but the other Chicago bar GOFUNDME fundraisers going on.
 
We are a community and a community helps bring each other up.
We can get through this together.
