Saturday night, September 28, this Purple Heart Recipient was brutally beaten by "tweakers" as he crossed Kailua District Park on his bike. His injuries are extensive and include major reconstruction of his facial structure.  He remains hospitalized and the medical bills are profound. This was a random and unprovoked attack.  His friends are his family and he has worked hard throughout his life to overcome many challenging circumstances. It is not known when he will be able to work again, and his expenses are already escalating. This young man was injured in the line of duty serving our country. To be riding his bike home through a neighborhood park and experience this type of violence is a travesty.
