Hi everyone, my name is Melissa, and I am organising this fundraiser on behalf of my Dad, Chahid, 61, (pictured top right) and our family.

On Friday, 11th August our family's life was turned upside down. It all started with our Dad, Chahid, getting nerve pain symptoms on his tailbone stopping him from being able to do his normal routine in going to work and even sitting down and enjoying a cup of coffee. After a month of tests and multiple biopsy tests, ufortunately to our regret, this has now resulted in stage 4 metastatic lung cancer. As the cancer has now spread through his lymphnodes, he requires triweekly chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments over the next 3 months. A scan will then be conducted to see how and if the cancer has reduced.

He has never been to hospital in his life and is the hardest worker we have ever seen. Dad who is the sole provider of the family house (due to Mum not being able to work with multiple spinal surgeries) will be unable to work for the foreseeable future with chemotherapy, adding a financial strain to what is already a super stressful time on our family. My brothers and I are assisting where we can but as I have recently moved out of the family house due to my first home purchase, my hands are unfortunately tied with mortgage repayments.

I am asking for help on behalf of my family. With your assistance, we would like to raise enough money to help cover ongoing house bills, living costs and any unforeseen costs that may arise with Dad's cancer treatments.

We all know that Dad and Mum would do anything for us and our loved ones, so now it is our turn to return the favour.

We know it is a difficult time with rising living costs so if you are unable to donate, all we ask for is a prayer for Dad.
