Our boy, Sean Keating has run into seriously ill health recently that rapidly took over his body in just a few weeks, forcing a liver transplant. He’s now on a long and arduous path moving forward, with a significantly long recovery ahead.

What started as a misdiagnosed hematoma, then thought to be a cancerous tumour, soon morphed into an Aneurysm in his forearm, yielding a wrist-to-elbow incision to remove it, on Apr. 17. What should have been minor surgery very quickly spiralled into a nightmare of vascular problems as Sean’s body rebelled, his organs began shutting down, and very rapidly his liver gave up. Doctors were able to stabilize him and he was put on the transplant list as ‘extreme risk’. A new liver transplant was fast tracked and was successfully completed on Monday, May 26th.

Recovery will be long and brutal, and Sean will not be able to work for a minimum 8-10 months. His wife, Megan, must also miss significant work due to her caregiver responsibilities. Sean needs our help to get him back to full strength.
