Help Richard and Danielle Attend Cousin’s Wedding

I’m Richard and my wife is Danielle. We want to attend a cousin’s wedding in Washington on 4/10/25. My cousin James was one cousin I was older than but we had a bond. He used my digital camera in 2008 and he took so many pictures I should have given it to him. I didn’t (only to get my first iPhone a year later) but James still turned out to be a fine young man.

I grew up with cousins who really had a profound effect on my values. I value my extended family of cousins and, even though we don’t see each other that much, I want to show up to big events like weddings. I missed my cousin Emily’s wedding and regret it to this day. Family is everything.

We’ve had some unfortunate circumstances that didn’t really allow us to travel very much. Danielle had a workplace injury in 2019 and is now on permanent disability. She requires a walker to get around. I’m her caregiver. Because of all this, we’re on a fixed income. Because of limited discretionary income, Travel has been impractical. The last time I saw my brother was five years ago. The last time I saw most cousins was 15 years ago.

We all know life is short. Danielle is a breast cancer survivor. We had a close call with the Lidia fire in January 2025. But we’re determined to live life joyously.
