Hey everyone,

My name is Maisie Brown and I am the lead coordinator of the Mississippi Student Advocacy Team. I created this team of college students in response to the Jackson Water Crisis at the end of Summer 2022 to do water deliveries across the city of Jackson to elderly, disabled, and low-income households who did not have access to city distribution sites. Though national coverage has passed over, there is still a water quality issue within the city and citizens are still routinely put on boil water notice and experience low pressure. Our money and supply are getting low but we are determined to continue this work. This money would help us purchase more water palettes, pay for storage fees, help fuel the cars that we deliver from, and increase our impact across the city. No donation is too big or too small.
