Help Krystyn Wickham Mayo Clinic Visit

Hi, my name is Lexi and I am creating this GoFund me for my best friend. She has a lot of upcoming medical expenses. She will have to travel to Mayo Clinic in Rochester for three weeks with her current medical condition, she was forced to quit her job and stay home.

In 2020 she was diagnosed with Idiopathic Intercranial Hypertension or Psuedo Tumor Cerebri; which pretty much means she has an abundance of fluid around her brain. The part of herbrain that creates spinal fluid produces more than needed and her brain cannot absorb the fluid, this causes her to have symptoms that mimic a brain tumor.

Since 2020 she has had multiple Lumbar Punctures, MRIs, CT and lots of blood work. She has also seen specialist all over Montana and has tried the medication they prescribed her and nothing has made a difference.

On June 24th her and her husband are having to fly to Minnesota so she can meet with the neurology team at the Mayo Clinic. Between June 25th and July 8th she have 5 appointments including a procedure, which will cause her to have to stay in Rochester longer than expected. The last time she talked to the Mayo Clinic they said they had more orders to put in for more appointments but they haven’t been scheduled yet, so I’m not sure exactly how long she will have to stay in Minnesota. Her mom is staying home to take care of the twins and their pets. Robert will be missing work to be with her, which means they will already be struggling financially. She will have to come up with money to pay for an Airbnb/hotel (whichever is cheapest), rental car, flights, food, gas all while making sure her mom is okay here with the kids and animals.
