Launching Ibogaine Works: A Global Search for Lived Experience
The Story
My name is Kenny Toglia, and I am the Executive Director of Ibogaine Works Inc. For decades, I have been a grassroots activist, dedicated to the idea that real change only happens when the community takes the lead.
On January 16, 2026, Ibogaine Works Inc. officially incorporated as a New York State nonprofit to bring a direct-action approach to the overdose crisis. We are committed to integrating proven harm reduction strategies into the rapidly evolving landscape of psychedelics—specifically for substances like ibogaine and psilocybin, which are now widely accessible online. Our mission is to ensure that as these tools become more available, they are backed by the rigorous safety standards, education, and advocacy necessary to save lives.
We are building something different here. We aren’t just a group of experts—we are a coalition of clinicians, social workers, and organizers working to ensure that entheogenic recovery is safe, accessible, and rooted in integrity.
What We Are Fundraising For
We are currently at a critical turning point and need your help to fund three immediate pillars of our mission:
The Global Search for a Stakeholder Board Member: We believe in "Nothing about us without us." We are launching an international search for a board member with lived experience involving specific ibogaine recovery protocols. We need to ensure that the voices of those who have walked the path are at the very center of our governance. Your donations will help fund the outreach and infrastructure needed to find and vet the right candidate for this vital, unpaid leadership role.
Our Spring & Summer Actions: This May, we are hitting the ground running. We are coordinating the Global Million Mushroom March on May 2nd, followed by an Opioid Awareness Day Memorial Reading of Names at NYC City Hall on May 9th. These events are essential for public education and legislative advocacy.
Institutional Foundations: From finalizing our Article 32 certification with New York State to launching our official website, your support helps us build a professional, transparent organization that can stand the test of time. We are currently in the final stages of setting up our institutional banking. In the interest of full transparency, all funds from this campaign are being managed by our Treasurer, Nancy Dillon, and are restricted solely for the operational costs of Ibogaine Works Inc. and our 2026 advocacy events.
