To Friends of University of Miami Masters Graduate student Ronald Prioleau:
This past Thursday, Dec. 14th, 2017, Journalism Masters student Ronald Prioleau walked across the University of Miami stage to pick-up his diploma as his parents Ronnie and Mary Prioleau proudly watched from their seats in the audience. They had flown in from South Carolina to share this special moment with their son.
Within hours of that joyous event, Ronald and his parents were devastated by the news that their other son Ronnie Prioleau-- Ronald's older brother-- had been killed in a tragic car accident in South Carolina.
Ronald and his parents immediately returned to South Carolina to begin plans for Ronnie's funeral.
The thrill from successfully completing 18-months of hard work and the joy of the approaching holidays have been shattered for Ronald, as he and his family must now grieve the loss of their brother, son and friend.
This “Go Fund Me” Memorial Fund is a way for Ronald’s University of Miami ‘family’ and other friends to show their support for the entire Prioleau family during this painful time. It is a small and heartfelt way to offer some relief for the unexpected, burdensome costs of burying a young, beloved 33-year-old family member.
If you feel moved to help, please consider donating any amount, small or large, to this memorial fund account, which will go directly to the Prioleau family to help with funeral expenses.
