Fuel Erica's Journey to XULA for Mental Health Advocacy

My name is Erica Walden, and I am a rising sophomore at Xavier University of Louisiana. I was raised in a single parent household with my father and brothers, and I am a first generation college student, looking to pursue a career in Law with earning my JD.

I started this go fund me last year to help me achieve my goals of starting a college education, and with help I was able to make that dream come true. I was able to become an associate justice for the schools SGA, secretary for pre law club, a sexual assault and violence prevention peer educator, and an inductee to Phil Alpha Delta.

However, the work doesn't stop so neither can I. Raised in a single parent household on a fixed income with a family member who has cancer, I still face a significant financial burden. With that being said I would appreciate any help, donations or guidance on my journey to continue my education, and be the first in my family to graduate from college. I can prove that I am worth the investment as I take my education and my aspirations seriously. I plan to pursue a career as a practicing attorney in family law, or domestic violence as I am a strong advocate against femicide, sexual assault, and abuse. I am anticipating being able to push myself through school to accomplish my goal.
